Henry Lehrman – Reminiscences, clippings, photos, etc. I’m conducting research for a biography of silent film pioneer Henry “Pathe” Lehrman, and any information provided regarding Mr. Lehrman's career or personal life will be greatly appreciated.
Mr. Lehrman’s career spanned nearly 40 years, as actor/director at Biograph 1909-1912, as actor/director at Mack Sennett’s Keystone Film Company 1912-1914, as actor/director/principal at Sterling Comedies 1914, and as producer/director/actor at his own L-KO Motion Picture Kompany 1914-1917, Fox Sunshine Comedies 1917-1919, and Henry Lehrman Comedies 1919-1921. The remainder of the ‘20s was spent as director-for-hire on a number of features and shorts, with the ‘30s and ‘40s spent in the script department at Twentieth Century-Fox. Lehrman died in 1946.
