A Brief History of Matrix, Inc.Incorporated on November 1, 1974, Matrix, Inc. was the Princeton area's first Market Research Data Processing Service Bureau. Our origins were humble, leasing computer access for several years until we were able to acquire our own mini-computer, the CHI 2130. In the mid-'80s processing was shifted over to a network of Apollo workstations, and for the last fifteen years all processing has been accomplished utilizing a network of IBM-compatible PCs and peripherals. Matrix's original client base consisted solely of Princeton-area Market Research firms, but has expanded over the past twenty years to include a host of companies nationwide and throughout Canada. Jacob Katz, President of Matrix, Inc., has worked in the market research industry for more than thirty-five years. Responsibilities include client contact and budgeting of new projects, promotion, and project management. Formerly with Opinion Research Corporation, Katz holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Hofstra University and has taken Graduate courses at Rutgers. Thomas J. Reeder, Executive Vice President, has over thirty-five years experience in market research data processing. Current responsibilities include client contact and budgeting of new projects, technical support and training for users of The Uncle Group, Inc.'s products, and software design and development. Formerly with The Gallup Organization, Reeder has a Master's Degree from New York University. |
